We’re going to do one final thing in this WordPress 3.9 Media Library seminar to answer Tom’s question, “Can you do audio or video playlists in sidebar widgets?”.
Use Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
That is a great question, Tom I love that question. Let’s go to widgets and make sure that I’ve got Black Studio TinyMCE installed on the site so we’ll do that.
Add Audio Files
We’ll add media, we’ll create an audio playlist, we’ll do it with all 3 of these. Then we’ll create a new playlist, insert the audio playlist and save it.
Add Videos
Yes, look at that. You can indeed add playlists in sidebar widgets. Let’s try the video one. We’ll just do that in another visual editor. Let’s call this one “Video Playlist”. I think this is so totally cool, I just love this thing really.
Create a video playlist and we’ll select all those, create the new video playlist, insert the video playlist, save it and refresh the page. This is remarkably cool really. So yes, you can do that and let’s do it with an image one too.
Add Image Gallery
Actually, this could be terribly useful. Let’s see one more time, visual editor and we’re going to add media this time. Let’s create a gallery and I’m going to create a gallery from these five pictures. We’re going to make it 1 column, we’ll link it to the attachment page and insert the gallery. We’ll save it and let’s see what it looks like. Yes, it works just fine.
